Camp Crescent | Camp for Children With Sickle Cell Disease

Camp Crescent is a free camp that offers children with sickle cell disease a place to join in on fun activities, feel more confident, and meet other campers. These children have specific medical needs that keep them from attending regular summer camp, especially because sickle cell is dramatically affected by heat. The staff of medical professionals at Camp Crescent make it possible for these kids to experience summer camp and give children with sickle cell disease a chance to meet other children who have the same condition.

By attending Camp Crescent, each camper will discover how unique they are despite having Sickle Cell Disease. Camp Crescent combines the traditional swimming, crafts and campfire with Senior/Junior Counselors and medical staff prepared to meet the special needs of campers who are being treated for sickle cell disease.
